| Ok, again I'll start off with my choice on why in this section (musical) of the forum. It's fairly simple, there's a lot of singing going on in this movie! The Cast: James Gandolfini Susan Sarandon Kate Winslet Steve Buscemi Christopher Walken Plot outline: A down-and-dirty musical set in the world of working-class New York, tells a story of a husband's journey into infidelity and redemption when he must choose between his seductive mistress and his beleaguered wife. I watched this movie quite some time ago and I must say I didn't expect much, but was pleasantly surprised! James Gandolfini plays very convincing, and he dances like a mad cunt! Kate Winslet is prrrr, and Christopher Walken plays an Elvis impersonator. Don't be scared, there is talking in this movie, too. It's not just singing. Official TrailerAnd once again I give this movie my: | |

| It's really good I don't know WHY I know this, I guess I must've seen it sometime or another, the only thing I remember is that I like it though | |

| Just finished watching it and it's not bad, not bad at all actually I also didn't expect much and I'm also pleasantly surprised. It's funny, sometimes quite stupid but some moments I really couldn't help but laughing. It has a little something refreshing and little ironic dark touches. Some quotes are also definitely meant to become cult Like Steve Buscemi about the cow "I'd run too if i's gona be a steak" I enjoyed it a lot Also funny to see Mary-Louise Parker playing a teanager, main actress of the serie "weeds" but maybe not the best choice for this role as she looks too old Maybe the only down side for me was the last part - Spoiler:
a bit too melow which kills a bit the all movie rythm imo
One other thing which could be a down side for some is the fact that they are singing on top of original song tracks so we can hear both. But that didn't bother me O, and it is produced by the Coen Brothers

| But... it's a musical. I really can't stand those. Still in doubt about this one though, because it's still Coen Brothers (and Torturro, whose directing skills I'm curious about.) .... | |

Seriously, it is great. Yes it is a musical but it has something more of it I used to also dont like musicals but in fact, it can be nice and original. Musicals are not always traditional cheesy musicals (example: Dancers in the dark, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The American Astronaut...)
