Fake Movie Ideas

This is a thread for fake movie ideas, since I have those all the time...

There are 3 rules:

- You need at least a title, a tagline and a short overview of the story
- You have to post it all in one time
- Sequels to the ideas of other members are allowed

If you want to, you can go as far as making a movie poster for it, or try to get funding

I'll kick off with my latest great idea! (I know it's not the most original story, but it's the action that counts! )

Title:
Wave Cop

Tagline:
One cop riding the crime wave / To protect and to surf (Haven't decided yet which one I like better)

Story:
Jack Blast is a cop who's tired of the bureaucracy of the office job at the police station. He really misses the good old days of enforcing the law, the days before the stupid home improvement accident which cost him his left eye. He lives a quiet family life with his wife Irene and their son, Robert, a surfer.

When Robert disappears, his father takes up the task of finding out what happened to him. When Jack asks Robert's friends where they last saw him, they tell him that Robert went out surfing near the old lighthouse. Jack goes there to find some bashed crates and a piece of Robert's surfboard, which he helped wax so many times. The bashed crates have the faded name of a warehouse on them.

Following this lead, Jack stealthily goes into the warehouse, to uncover a largescale cocaine smuggling operation. His son had been surfing at the wrong spot at the wrong time and is killed before his eyes. Not daring to give himself away, Jack waits until the last smugglers have left the warehouse and swears to avenge his son.

A few days later, after picking up some heavy artillery and a surfboard (as an alibi), Jack goes out to the lighthouse again, waiting for the smugglers to make another drop. Night falls as he is waiting and he makes a small campfire. He dozes off and wakes to the smell of sausages being roasted. There is an old man sitting across the fire, wearing tattered clothes. The old man tells Jack he doesn't look much like a surfer to him and Jack, feeling a strange kind of trust, tells why he is waiting here. The old man then tells him that the smugglers always post a heavy guard near the shore.

Jack understands that if he is to be succesfull in having his revenge, he should approach the smugglers from the direction the least expect, namely out from the sea. The only problem being, he has no boat. At that moment, the old man starts laughing and says to Jack: "Why use a boat when you can surf?" Jack explains that he can't surf, upon which the old man offers to teach him. Jack turns out to be an amazingly fast student and after two days of training, he can ride the waves like the best.

The next night, guards appear on the beach and Jack only makes it out to sea just in time to go unnoticed. A boat approaches and docks at the lighthouse. Jack sees a huge wave coming his way and knows it is now or never. He starts paddling and rides up to the lighthouse firing bullets, killing most of the smugglers. The guy who pulled the trigger on his son gets to a car and tries to get away, but Jack uses a grenadelauncher one of the smugglers was carrying to blow up the car, thus having his revenge.

By the time the police come to see what all the ruckus is about, Jack rides out on a wave, disappearing into the night, surfing for justice.

I always think of ideas of movies too, but I never remember them I should write them down
But will try to come up with some
And it doesn't have to be fake, we can also decide to film one of them (ambitious but hey anything is possible although I think your story would be too hard to do (that's why it's fake )

Well...I'm quite busy writing at the moment, so this kind of stuff is an outlet for all the things I don't use in my writings

(I must admit I come up with more of these things than actual writing at the moment...)

I just remembered, last year with a friend on our way to a party, we started to write down a story, on that moment we thought it was very good but we didn't agree on how the story should continue so we decided to think about it during the party and come up with some ideas which of course never happened but I kept it so I will read it now maybe I can come up with something (maybe not )

Title:
Count Volta's Revenge

Tagline:
An electric tale of the 19th century

Story:
After inventing the "wet-cell" battery, Alessandro Volta is made a count by Napoleon Bonaparte. He is commisioned by the latter to research the possibilities to make robots powered by Volta's battery. Volta goes to work and after some time, he comes up with a working prototype of his "Voltabot". Napoleon is very interested in his work and asks him to construct a whole army of Voltabot soldiers to conquer Russia, where Napoleon's campaign isn't going well. Volta is repulsed by the idea of using his inventions to hurt people and refuses to cooperate.

Napoleon decides to apply force to Volta, by imprisoning Volta's good friend Luigi Galvani and forbidding Volta to leave his estate. Knowing Galvani is as much as an pacifist as himself, Volta sets up a workshop not for producing the robot army, but giving the impression he is working on it. In secret, he is developing something else, nothing is revealed at this point though.

After a few checkups by Napoleon's officials, who come to the conclusion that no real progress is being made, Napoleon sends Volta a letter with an ultimatum; He has to finish at least 20 of his Voltabot soldiers before the end of the year, or Galvani dies. Volta gives in and starts developing the mechanical army.

As the end of the year draws near and the army nears completion, Volta receives news that Galvani was executed anyway, because of Volta's insolence of not following Napoleon's direct orders. Volta locks himself in the workshop for 2 weeks, working day and night.

When Volta emerges from his workshop in the middle of the night, he is wearing Voltabot armor and sets out to Napoleon's camp near Leipzig.

When Volta arrives at the camp, everybody's in an uproar, nobody being familiar with something like they're seeing now. Volta is in a rage and starts out to Napoleon's tents, using his secretly developed Electrical Discharger (think along the lines of a really strong Taser ) to kill everyone who's in his way. Napoleon is waiting outside his tent to see what the fuss is all about and realizes he may have made a fatal mistake in underestimating a scientist's anger.

Volta tells Napoleon that Napoleon himself chose the time of his death when he gave orders to kill Galvani and kills him on the spot. The army, despirited by their recent campaign in Russia and impressed by the show of force Volta just gave, decide to side with him to work on a better world, without war and violence.

Hm...I should really become a B-movie writer

Note that some details are correct in "Count Volta's Revenge"

- Alessandro Volta WAS named count by Napoleon
- Volta and Galvani WERE good friends
- Napoleon's Russia campaign WENT awry
- Leipzig WAS the place of an important battle on the retreat from Russia

Oh ok, you are right it is probably better

I know Zeehond is very good at this kind of thing as well, for starters...

But everybody should give it a try, the story outline doesn't have to be as elaborate as the ones I posted...something along the lines of "White trash couple living in a trailer are abducted by aliens to save their planet" could be enough...

Yesterday I was reading some stories I wrote when I was 15 or 16 years old
Very funny, some of them were really bad
But I found one of them which really made me laugh!!
It is in French so I will summarize in english
It is not very original but what's funny is that it looks very much like the movie Equilibrium (they stole my story )

In a very far away future, the scientists have found a way to control people's emotions. Ever since, they are ahead of the world, which is now one and only big country.
People's emotions are controlled with pills: a pill for happiness, another one for love, another one for laughing....
Other pills exist but forbidden although they can be found on the black market: they can create anger, sadness, fear....
These pills are totally unknown by the majority of the population who is taking the other pills everyday every since they are born. It is as natural for them as eating or drinking water. When they grow up, they learn that if they dont take the hapiness pill, they would die.
They never experienced sadness, neither they ever felt fear or anger.

They are however some emotions for which the scientists never found any chemical solutions. One of them is Bordeness. Although most people would never experience it due to their high level of hapiness, a few would be seriously affected and would fall at very early age into an underground lifestyle, desperately trying to find something which would occupy their boring life. Knowing the existence of the borbidden pills, they would start taking them and experience feelings they never had before. These feelings were unpleasants but at least they were something new.
Some of them would take so many sadness pills that they would end up commiting suicides. These overdose of sadness pills were hidden by the government. Some would take anger pills and start a resistance army to fight the government. The government would have no choice but to create a secret army with soldiers who would take also anger pills, this was the only way they could find to compet with the underground

That's it, after that I didn't continue the story

And.... NO, at that age I was not going to parties yet

Sounds good, let's make a movie out of it
