The Sun is being destroyed from inside out by a type of highly stable form of matter that renders nuclear fusion impossible, by turning common matter on its own kind. The only hope is to send a team of astronauts to detonate a massive, highly energetic bomb, able to destroy this strange matter and restore Sun's natural state
Ok, where to start?
Well first of all, with this movie you shouldn't be too picky regarding scientific truth and rules of physics, if you are, you might be a bit desapointed. Quite a few times, even I questionned it .... and I dont know much about this stuff So sometimes I really wondered "how could he....", "how did they manage to...." simply "how???" Clearly you have to ignore these things from start
But visually, all I have to say is WOUHAAAA, it's stunning: the colors, the filming, the special effects, everything is really beautifull. Danny Boyle did here an amazing work!!
Only for this, it deserves a 7, shame the all story was not a bit better, I would have given more.
But it's a very nice movie
Great soundtrack as well
And the eyes of Cillian Murphy are still amazingly beautifull
(arggg I really hate that they used the Requiem for a dream music in the trailer - that's stupid! )

Well, if you ignore this, it's really great. But yes, think Danny Boyle didn't make very smart choices in the story. To make it more believable, he should have imagined just something that doesn't exist today, it is in the future, so anything was possible. But it's a shame also sometimes, some things just didn't make sense
Spoiler:
Like these guys who end up in space with no protection at all and managed to survive
But for the rest, it is very impressive, and the scenes are soooo beautifull, just for this, you should really see it

Even in the future, some things aren't possible
I'll watch it sometime and post my opinion about then

And that sometime was last week!
I knew it would be quite unbelievable (as in scientifically impossible), so I didn't give it too much thought.
The beginning of the movie starts of great actually, very appealing on the visual side and the acting is OK. Then there's the other spaceship with it's inhabitant and things start to go sour. It would and could have been MUCH, MUCH, MUCH better if the story had went on about the psychological impact of the journey on the crew.
