When art student Ben Willis is dumped by his girlfriend Suzy, he develops insomnia. To pass the long hours of the night, he starts working the late night shift at the local supermarket. There he meets a colorful cast of characters, all of whom have their own 'art' in dealing with the boredom of an eight-hour-shift. Ben's art is that he imagines himself stopping time. This way, he can appreciate the artistic beauty of the frozen world and the people inside it - especially Sharon, the quiet checkout girl, who perhaps holds the answer to solving the problem of Ben's insomnia
i'm really not a big fan of romantic comedies normally, too cheesy in general... I wanted to see this one because I saw the short movie made before by the same director: Cashback short One advise: do not watch the short before the movie cause the short is actually a full scene of the full lengh movie so it kills a bit the surprise effect in my opinion I really love the filming technic of this movie and the poetic/esthetic aspect, this is very nice But some things I also didn't like: some of the humour around it, especially with the main character's friends is really not my cup of tea: too immature, cheesy and a bit "american pie" kind. I didn't like this at all For the rest it is a nice and easy comedy The cinematography is very good but without all these stupidity, it would have been much better...
or maybe
something in between

I've been wanting to see this one for some time...
I like American Pie, so I guess I won't be so bothered by the humour
