Harrison Ford has apparently revealed he would love to reprise his role as Indiana Jones.

The 67-year-old confirmed to French newspaper Le Figaro that a new script is already in the works for the fifth film in the legendary franchise, and that he would be happy to put on the famous leather jacket and fedora to play the intrepid explorer again - if the storyline is promising.

"The story for the new Indiana Jones is in the process of taking form - if the script is good, I'll be happy to put the costume on again," he said.

"Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and myself are agreed on what the fifth adventure will concern, and George is actively at work."

Last year Harrison donned the costume for Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, where he starred alongside Shia LaBeouf, 19 years after 1989's Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade.

The fifth film will be directed by Steven Spielberg and overseen by creator George Lucas.
