| Friends movie 'not happening'
Barely two days after rumours began circulating about a big screen adaptation of Friends, rights holder Warner Bros has moved to quash speculation and said no such movie is in the works.
Talk of the project spread like wildfire through Hollywood after an unknown source claimed earlier in the week that Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox Arquette, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc were prepared to reprise their roles as the sofa-bound pals.

- Friends to become a film
Sep 30, 2009 LOS ANGELES - THE popular TV show Friends will be turned into a movie, said entertainment media reports on Wednesday.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, the go ahead has come from Warner Brothers to reunite the original cast of Rachel (Jennifer Aniston), Monica (Courteney Cox), Phoebe (Lisa Kudrow), Joey (Matt LeBlanc) and Chandler (Matthew Perry) to the big screen.
However it is unclear if Ross, played by actor David Schwimmer, will be part of the new film's storyline.
The producers are reportedly ready to pay the five confirmed stars substantial fees, after the success of the Sex and the City film, which is currently in production for a sequel.
The Friends film will be written and produced by the show's creators David Crane and Marta Kauffman and is expected to be released in 2011, reported news.com.au.
