After history Professor John Oldman unexpectedly resigns from the University, his startled colleagues impulsively invite themselves to his home, pressing him for an explanation. But they're shocked to hear his reason for premature retirement: John claims he must move on because he is immortal, and cannot stay in one place for more than ten years without his secret being discovered. Tempers rise and emotions flow as John's fellow professors attempt to poke holes in his story, but it soon becomes clear that his tale is as impossible to disprove as it is to verify. What starts out as a friendly gathering soon builds to an unexpected and shattering climax.
interesting concept, interesting ideas, interesting movie It's not pure sci-fi but the ideas are The movie story happens in the same place/room all movie so dont expect lots of action Basically a group of friend teachers meet and one of them announce that he is in fact more than a 10000 years old and immortal (at least never died for thousands of years), then for 80mns, they talk about this
It's good although there are some things which dont make too much sense in my opinion
For example, and these are all spoilers....
Spoiler:
Why telling these people now. He tried in the past for thousands of years and people never believed him, so why would they more today? Especially because he says there is no way to fully prove it
Spoiler:
He said he didn't keep anything from the past cause it was no use, but he also said he had several diplomas, why not keeping these as evidences or pictures, there were already taking pictures in the 19th century...
Spoiler:
He said he was Jesus and also met the Buddha, this seems to be too big of coincidences to be exactly in these places at these times!
For the rest, not bad, interesting conversation about science, history and religions

I liked it, even if some of the characters were a little flat.

Didn't really mind that, but more the group thing and their reaction, like, too soon they kind of accept he is telling the truth I mean in real life, it would be seen as a joke all along...
