B. Monkey @ IMDbB. Monkey is a crime/love story, it really didn't fit in the Romance section, so I instead posted it here
Alan is an elementary school teacher and jazz enthusiast, while drinking something at the bar of his favourite pub, he meets Beatrice (played by Asia Argento, yes, the daughter of Dario :
). They fall in love (quite awkwardly at first) and their relationship grows stronger.
There is one little problem. Beatrice is a criminal. She's quite deep into the armed robbery scene, but wants out because of Alan.
After they have some fights about things that happen (don't want to reveal too much
), Alan takes on a new teaching job, very far from the city, in some remote village. The couple live quite happily, though Beatrice misses her friends very much.
One day, she makes a phone call to one of them, who presses redial and finds out the number she called from. He comes looking for her, but so do their gangster "friends", who they're both in trouble with.
The acting has it's moments, some parts and/or actors are quite good (Alan is played well by Jared Harris). The story is alright, not fabulous. The soundtrack is quite good and there's one scene in Paris, where Beatrice is sick, that rocks!
All in all, I rate this movie 7/10, it's worth the view, but not the best film you'll ever see
