- Just watched the Advance Screening last night and I must say that this movie pulls all the punches in violence. It deserves its hard R rating in the first five minutes and doesn't let up until the end credits roll. It has it all - bullets, boobs and be-headings - beautifully set in a grim atmosphere that really keeps you on the edge of your seat. All cast performances were excellent - especially Mickey Rourke's "Marv" character. Fans of the comic will not be disappointed in this film adaption. This movie is definitely not for the squeamish or faint-of-heart.
Sin City grabs you by the nuts and doesn't let go! A must see! lovely movie, in the style of Tarantino's Four Roomscomes recommended !    | |

| Yes Sin City is nice although I expected better and was a bit desapointed when I saw it. But it remains a great movie. Although I didn't really see the similarities with Four roomsBut maybe you can develop  | |

But maybe you can develop wel.. the story is about the same .. 4 stories within the same area (sin city, or a hotel) that's it mainly and it's also as enjoyable though not a spectacular movie, it's still a good movie imo (+ better than four rooms imo ) | |

there's some gore innit remember the heads on the wall in Kevin's house and the killing of Kevin, etc.. but ofcourse the black & white setting + the use of white fake blood from time to time makes it less gore | |

| I just watched it again this evening. My admiration for it has risen  It's a very strong movie, with a load of great acting and an interesting enough storyline... Indeed one of the more decent adaptations of a comic book in...well...in the history of film making 8/10 | |

| great movie indeed... bought the dvd a while ago... nice special and dark atmosphere, class A acting and an interresting story... 8,5/10!!! (half a point given extra because of Jessica Alba being present!!! ) best comic-coming-alive-on-big-screen up until now imo! they're gonna make a Sin City trilogy, I've heard trough the grapevine??? | |
